We have an established track record of working on a long-term basis with notable and characterful resorts, hotels and developments. As passionate experts in our field, we take care to develop and operate in a way that is sympathetic, high quality and commercially sustainable.

On the outskirts of St Ives and above the turquoise waters of Carbis Bay, UNA is, we believe, one of the most significant tourism investments in Cornwall this decade.

Previously a caravan touring park, UNA is today an established yet evolving family holiday resort, which, in phases, will include 123 lodges and a 55-apartment hotel. It already hosts an award-winning restaurant, a spa, and extensive leisure facilities, which are accessible through membership by local residents as well as visiting guests. Plans for its next phases involve the addition of a Lido and sundeck, further dining spaces, piazza with performance area, retail, gallery, and event space, padel tennis courts and a perimeter adventure trail.

Kingfisher Resorts’ investment at UNA to date has topped £8m with an additional £46m proposed for the next phases.

Hotel Meudon

Hotel Meudon is located in the village of Mawnan Smith and half a mile from its beautiful privately owned beach, Bream Cove. The property dates back some 200 years, when it was once home to Falmouth’s famous Fox family.

Opening as a hotel in 1966, this treasured asset and valuable biodiversity resource has been lovingly preserved and maintained by its team for many years, allowing guests and the local community to enjoy its tranquil surroundings.

We were thrilled to acquire this prestigious property in early 2021 and immediately invested in a dedicated refurbishment programme to bring it up to a high standard, while staying true to its Cornish surroundings. The hotel has since been recognised for its exceptional facilities, including its restaurant, which found acclaim in the 2022 Cornwall Tourism Awards and Taste of the West Awards.

Knoll House Hotel

Nestled in Studland, Dorset’s Isle of Purbeck – renowned as one of the most dramatic and sensitive landscapes in the UK – Knoll House Hotel is another example of a treasured property with a fascinating history in need of investment and evolution to meet increasingly raised guest expectations.

It was built around the turn of the century as a summer retreat for a member of the Bankes family of Kingston Lacy and was subsequently used as a summer let. Bought by two young hoteliers, it was turned into a hotel in 1931 and was an immediate success.

We are privileged to be the latest guardian of this special property, set in a truly unique location, and are thoroughly committed to transforming it into a five-star resort while acknowledging those halcyon days of seaside holidays gone by.
